We realize we haven't updated this in the longest, longest time ) : We haven't had the time to plan in full-day programmes for ourselves either - but now that we're back for a bit, we have a list of places that we've recently visited or are intending to visit soon and would love to share them with you! x c:

PRETTY PLACES
Can't seem to find anything good to do?
Here are some ideas for places to go if you wanna hang out C:
We've just recently booked tickets for them too!
(I)
The Art of the Brick
This is the first major museum exhibition to use LEGO bricks as the only art medium, and all the exhibits are created by New York-based artist Nathan Sawaya ( : The Art of the Brick exhibition at the ArtScience Museum will be the biggest yet, showcasing 52 of these LEGO sculptures!! Highlights to look out for: the iconic sculpture Yellow, a 6-meter long T-rex dinosaur skeleton, and a sculpture of the ArtScience Musuem itself ( :
The exhibition has been open since 17 November last year, and will still be around until
26 May this year!! It's been extended so hurry go and visit it ( : We'll be finding a time to go soon as well, especially since we've heard such good reviews from other people!! ( :
Where: ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands Singapore
When: From now till 26 May
Opening Hours: 10am to 10pm daily, including weekends and public holidays. Last entry is at 9.00pm.
Admission Price (Adult / Child/ Senior Citizen): $13 /$8/ $12

Marine Life Park: S.E.A. Aquarium
This is the newer, much bigger version of the Underwater World, so we've heard ( : It's home to more than 800 species of marine animals, including manta rays, sea jelly, and over 200 shark species. Learn more about the aquarium's different zones and highlights
here! It really is a very pretty place (10 zones in 49 habitats), and it's fascinating to learn about all the creatures under the sea and see them up close! We really recommend it, especially if you're finding somewhere to go on a date ( : x
Where: Resort World Sentosa
Opening Hours: 10am to 7pm
Non-Peak One Day Pass* Price (Adult/ Child/ Senior Citizen): $29/ $20/ $20
How to Get There: (click
here for directions)
(*Non-Peak One Day Pass includes admission to S.E.A. Aquarium, The Maritime Experential Museum and Typhoon Theatre. Click here for the Peak/Non-Peak schedule.)
Pssst: While you're there, you might want to check out the nearby Adventure Cove Waterpark, also part of the Marine Life Park in RWS! ( : A one-day pass (Adult) costs $29 too, and if you're planning to visit both the S.E.A. Aquarium and the Adventure Cove Waterpark there are multi-park passes available! Check out the website for more details ( :

YUMMY THINGS
These are two of our latest eats that we've discovered via Groupon ( :
Both are in the Katong/ Siglap area (lots of good food here, really)!
Check them out if you're craving some good food and happen to be in the area x
(I)
Charly T's
We popped by Charly T's just last week, not expecting that much but being very pleasantly surprised ( : They specialize in their famous rotisserie chicken, and also serve a variety of wraps, soups and salads.
We went to their new outlet in the gorgeous i12 Katong, which is also home to other amazing food and dessert places - like the Max Brenner Chocolate Bar & Baci Italian Cafe, both of which we are still waiting to try (soon!) ( :
Here's what we had:
 |
The Original Recipe for their rotisserie chicken! We ordered a quarter chicken + 2 additions ($13) ( :
This is what they call their most famous - and rightfully so! It was seasoned to perfection and very fleshy!
The dips at the side were really unique and tasty (though we couldn't for the life of us figure out what they were) |
 |
And our two add-ons: German Potato Salad and Macaroni & Cheese!
These were really yum ( : |
 |
Chicken Wrap + Garlic Butter Rice ($12.50) |
 |
Molten Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream ($9) |
Our verdict: Definitely worth it! The food was good and affordable, and the service was impeccable ( :
It's a wonderful place to go to have a lunch or dinner and catch up with a friend!
Here are the details:
Where: i12 Katong, #03-15
or Level 1 NOMU (Beside The Cathay)
Opening Hours: 10am to 10pm
Check out their
website for their full menu and more!
Hope you have a yummy meal if you do decide to go! x

Naked Dining & Bar
Located not too far off from i12, next to where Everything with Fries used to be!
This is a great, fancy-looking place for dinner - really posh and all ( :
And the food is really, really good - all our dishes came with professional presentation and plating, and wonderful quality, yet not priced too exorbitantly We think their prize is truly their chefs, and we're excited to come back and try more dishes again! The only thing we weren't overly psyched about was their service (it's hard to get their attention), but we closed one eye because the food was superb + they don't charge for service so ( :
Here are some (albeit not so high-quality) pictures - you really must try them out for yourself!
 |
Truffle fries ( : ($12)
One can never go wrong with truffle fries! These were amazing x
|
 |
Prawn Risotto ($19)
Loved the risotto so so much, super cheesy and rich ( : |
 |
Lava cake with vanilla ice cream ($12)
We loved how runny the chocolate lava was - the runnier the better ( : |
These are what we had for dinner (+ mushroom soup, $8, not pictured) - but there's plenty more to try, like their Pan-seared Barramundi and Hand-pulled Pork Belly! They have a monthly set dinner ($30 net per person) as well, with Amuse Bouche (a small little palate teaser specially from the chef), Soup, a Starter, a Main Course of choice, and Dessert ( :
All in all, a great place for a fancy dinner or supper when you're craving gourmet food!
Here are the details:
Where: 454/456 Joo Chiat Road
Opening Hours: 6pm to 11pm
Check them out at their facebook page
here c :

Have a bite at With A Pinch of Salt, the cutest little cafe ever. Then take a peek at pretty pink flamingos and a whole lot of other feathered friends, before ending The Sunshine Walk off with some of Ice Cream Chefs' yummy creations c:
To Go: Preferably on a Tuesday! Because that's ICC's Free Mix-in Day, where you get the first mix-in for your ice cream for free c:
To Bring: Your camera! c: Add in an umbrella or a cap just in case your Sunshine Walk gets a little too sunshiny for your liking. Remember to bring a map along too, if you get lost, and binoculars if you want an even closer look at the birds!
To Wear: Pink, like a flamingo, just for fun! c: But remember to don light comfy clothes and good shoes for walking, because bird-watching can be a pretty rough and sweaty adventure! But it's still great fun c:

To start your day, head down to
With A Pinch of Salt at 297 Tanjong Katong Road! It has great food at really affordable prices, and the most adorable interior design ever! On
The Sunshine Walk we tried their Fish & Chips and made it a set meal: with Cream of Corn soup + Fruit Punch + Creme Caramel for dessert! We ordered Toasted Garlic Bread because we love it with our soup, and a Hot Milo Dinosaur c:
Everything was wonderful, and the service was excellent and prompt c: We think it's certain to make you smile c: Take a look!
With A Pinch of Salt by kyra! c: There's a parking lot out back if you wanna drive there!
Here's a cute bunny with the cafe slogan that we saw on our table!
Fish & Chips, or as the cafe describes: Fish coated with grandpa's crumb, served with fries!
The Creme Caramel, which was gorgeous c;

After lunch, you guys can head down to the bus stop further down the road and take
bus 10 ! Drop
off at
East Coast Road: Aft. Dunbar Walk, cross the road and walk
towards the Condo Coasta Rina. It won't be too long, don't worry. Guys
should bring umbrellas for the girls though (:
Walk towards Jalan Buloh Perindu, house number 63.
Here you'll get to see the stars of the trip, the flamingos!
Yes, real flamingos.
In a house. They're really very pretty! It's almost like a miniature bird park
in the East. There are really so many birds here, exotic Grey Crowned Cranes
from Africa, Scarlet Ibis from South America and Hornbills from
somewhere. There are many many more, parrots and all!
And all of that in one house -- it's amazing. Plus its free, sooo (:
'!'

'?'
Yea they're that cute (: And there're many many more birds, but we
won't spoil the surprise: so check it out and see for yourself! c:

If you love birds, you might spend quite a while bird-watching (like we did!), so on your way back, you could stop by at
Ice Cream Chefs for some ice cream to freshen and lighten up (:

They have really awesome and unique flavours like Creme Brulee, various fruit fusions, and even local infusions like Milo Peng, Kaya Lotee and Horlicks! Plus it's all homemade, and really really delicious c:
---
And that's how we concluded our Sunshine Walk c: Let us know how yours turns out - we'd love to hear from you! Best of all, if you know of any new places that you'd like to share with us, or that you'd like us to blog on, do let us know as well! c:
Stay sunshiny, everyone!
